Thurisaz - The Cimmerian Years

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Style: Atmospheric Death/Black Metal
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Origin: Belgium (Wervik)
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Lyrics: Depression, Darkness, Doom
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2011

Thurisaz began as a quartet in May 1997, with Peter on guitar and grunts, Mattias on guitar and screams, Pepijn on drums and Lars on bass. In 1999 Kobe joined on synths, an event that defined the sound of Thurisaz in the stages to come. After several demos, the band released it’s first full-album "Scent of a Dream" in 2004. The album sums up the best Thurisaz has to offer: very variated, high standard avantgarde doom-metal with lots of emotion and depth. The reviews were really amazing and no one could really understand why this band hadn’t been signed yet.

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2011

May be better than "N" this is really a Regeneration, but worse than TDUU. The new singer may sound like lindroos but he is not the genius Petri. This album is a new start for the band but old norther died, thanks Lindroos, hope you enjoy ensiferum, no regrets. Ensiferum is a great band but i prefer 2 great bands. btw wtf happens with jari meanpa and his album? what a guy...

Norther is a metal band from Helsinki, Finland. The band began in early 1996 under the name of Requiem, and was assembled by guitarist Petri Lindroos and drummer Toni Hallio accompanied by two other musicians. In the beginning, the band suffered from the lack of a proper rehearsal place, but in late 1997, guitarist Alexander Kuoppala (ex-Children of Bodom) found a suitable place for them to practice at Lepakko; around this time the band decided to change their name from Requiem to Decayed. Their luck was short-lived, however, as their new rehearsal place was soon to be demolished.

Omnium Gatherum is a melodic death metal band founded in Karhula, Finland in 1996. It has many directions and styles, some of them clearly visible while others more unseen. Namely working and keeping it all together under the monicker of melodic life-and-death metal, bastardized by various influences from a whole lot of genres and sub-genres (thrash, black, power, heavy, punk, progressive, neoclassical:especially on a debut album Spirits and August Lights… ), with a lyrical concept not very often seen in the world of metal - that is, academically twisted old school tell-a-tale folk singer attitude with a small amount of mystic poetry hidden somewhere between the lines.
