This is Sentenced first album, has nothing to do with their last stuff, for all of you that dont know it. Great Band. You should have heard this.

Sentenced was a Finnish metal band, formed in 1989 and disbanded in 2005.
Sentenced was originally formed in 1989 in the town of Muhos, Finland as a death metal band. The band produced their first album “Shadows Of The Past” in 1991 with singer/guitarist Miika Tenkula. The next two albums “North From Here” and “Amok” and the following EP “Love & Death” had bassist Taneli Jarva as singer, but in 1995 Taneli decided to take a few years off to rest before starting a new band, The Black League. Sentenced recruited Ville Laihiala in 1996 and put out the album “Down”.

4 years later here it is the second album of this band. Their previous album was also one of the firsts albums we upload when we started NW, and Hugin og Mugin song is in a Compilation.

Galar, hailing from Norway, was formed in 2004 by M. Kristiansen (screams, guitars and bass) and S. B. Johnsen (lyrics). They released their first and only demo early the next year. A. B. Lauritzen (clean vocals, bassoon and grand piano) participated only as a session member at the time, but joined the band on a permanent basis shortly after the completion of the demo.

Metsatöll, an Estonian folk metal band, was formed in 1999 in Tallinn by Markus Teeäär (vocals), Silver “Factor” Rattasepp (drums) and Andrus Tins (bass), playing epic heavy metal with small influences from ancient Estonian folklore. The debut album called “Terast mis hangund me hinge” (Steel Frozen in Our Souls) was released at that time. In 2000, a good friend Lauri “Varulven” Õunapuu joined the band.

Amorphis is a Finnish metal band started by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari and Esa Holopainen in 1990. Amorphis absorbed and incorporated influences from many metal genres, and with time passing their sound evolved dramatically. Initially, the band was a death metal act, but with time they have evolved into making music that is more classifiable as doom metal with folk influences, and, more recently, progressive metal and hard rock, utilizing increasingly complex arrangements and a less brutal sound. Amorphis is also well known for their use of the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala, as a source for their lyrics.

Folkearth is an international folk metal supergroup. Until now they have released seven albums. Dissection is a melodic death/black metal band from Strömstad, Sweden. The band was formed in 1989 by Jon Nödtveidt (vocals / lead, rhythm & accoustic guitars). The other members were Ole Öhman (drums), Peter Palmdahl (bass), and John Zwetsloot (rhythm & classic accoustic guitars). In 1990, Dissection played their first live show with death metal act Entombed. In the same year, they recorded and released their first demo entitled The Grief Prophecy. A year later the first EP Into Infinite Obscurity was released. In 1992, Dissection began work on a full-length album, The Somberlain.

Emperor is an influential Norwegian black metal band that represents a synth laden, progressive yet brutally aggressive and chaotic part of the genre, something quite different from the minimalism of other originators of the Norwegian black metal sound (e.g. Darkthrone).

Borknagar is a band from Bergen, Norway founded in 1995 by Øystein Garnes Brun. The band began as a black/viking metal band and quickly adopted a more progressive metal style after their first album. As such, the band’s most known style would be that of progressive black metal, with most of their albums taking from this style. Borknagar’s lyrics often deal with philosophy, paganism, nature, and the cosmos. Øystein Brun stated once that the name was inspired by a Scottish legend about a man who climbed Lochnagar, a mountain in Scotland.

Formed in 1990 in Libice nad Cidlinou, Czech Republic under the name Devastator, they eventually changed their name to !T.O.O.H.!, an acronym for ‘The Obliteration of Humanity’. !T.O.O.H.! is hard to classify into one genre, showing elements of death metal, grind, folk-influence, and even progressive metal. They have released four albums: From Higher Will (1999), Z Vyšší Vůle (2000) (This was the Czech release of From Higher Will, which has Czech lyrics instead of English ones), Pod Vládou Biče (recorded as a duo, 2003, means “Under the Reign of the Whip”), and Řád a trest (2005, means “Order and Punishment”).

Elffor is the side project of Suffering Down and Numen (Esp) keyboardist Eöl.
Elffor recently contributed a track to the "And In The Darkness Bind Them" 2 CD Summoning tribute out on Echoes Of Koliba Productions (Elffor contributed the track 'Kortirion Among The Trees.')
ELFFOR started as a Medieval Black Ambient band by SUFFERING DOWN's keyboard player Eöl in the end of 1995. He also holds a tradition with MOORLAND and FROSTFOGG. Elffor, a one man project, debuted in September 1998 with the album "Into The Dark Forest...". "Son Of The Shades" followed in 2002.

'The Throne Of Hate' (2004) added black metal to Elffor's music. He released fourth album "The Unblessed Woods" in 2006. He still continues to re-release his old materials through his homepage http://www.elffor.com.

Asgaroth sprang into being as a solo project by Daniel in 1995 who joined forces with Chris soon after. The partnership worked well together and in 1996 the duo released a mini CD: ‘The Quest For Eldenhor’, recorded at The Control Room (now Maxim Sound) in Barcelona - released through Newgotia/Repulse Records. With a great response from the national & international music press the duo enlist a drummer and set about recording their first full-length album: ‘Trapped In The Depths Of Eve’. Recorded again, at The Control Room sometime in autumn 1996, the album is a union of symphonic black & death metal and again is well received by the press. The purists hail this body of work as Asgaroth’s best.

I've been waiting for so long for this album ^^ this is one of the best mdm they play a stronger sound and more Thrash than the common mdm.

Kalmah is a band from Pudasjärvi, Finland. They are influenced by a high velocity brand of European Melodic Death Metal similar to that of metal bands like Children Of Bodom and Norther. The quintet formed in the autumn of 1999 following the demise of its first incarnation, Ancestor. In less than a year after its birth, Kalmah was signed by Spikefarm Records, a division of the Finnish label Spinefarm.

Catamenia is a Melodic Dark Metal band founded in 1995 by original members Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu, Finland.
Catamenia released their first demo album in their first active year, simply titled Demo ‘95. Their second demo, titled Winds, released in 1996, led to a four-album contract with Massacre Records in 1997. Their debut full-length album Halls of Frozen North was recorded in 1997 with Gerhard Magin (Crematory, Mystic Circle) and was released in 1998.
