In a move which seeks to showcase their musical specialties, record labels such as Prophecy Productions will occasionally sell themselves to likely consumers by putting out a carefully selected compilation CD with the best of their bands’ repertoire. However, it’s rarely seen that these bands will be linked together by something other than genre or even icon tributes; which is where ‘Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings‘ draws its own niche, to set itself apart from other label packages. Bringing musicians together under the aesthetic theme that the two-disc release’s title describes; it may be that this is one relatively small step for Prophecy and another step forward for creative integrity in the ocean of the current music industry.

Under the Bleak, born in 2007 when Jordi Mallol, David Moreno and David Calonge begin to compose doom metal music.
Soon after the idea doesn't work, and after a long time David Moreno want to restart the musical project with Jordi , but with a new experience music, the psychodelia.
Solar touch is their first EP, created under a free license to support the world of copy left. His lyrics tell of the fate of humanity, inner hell that leaves the subconscious and death theme, which is one of the influences of this project, incasificable style by his many influences

This is maybe the Compilation which is most purely pagan metal. There are not Black Metal Bands, we decided to focus on the Folk and MDM bands. In previous compilations some of you asked for more Folk, and for us is perfect cause are the Folk bands what are the less known and harder to find and as always the point with this compilation is to promote what we think is good metal and not always well-known.

I love almost all songs on this compilation, and I hope you know bands as Varg, Minas Morgul, I, Kromlek and also Stormlord cause they are huge. And I hope you discover bands like Thiasos Dionysos with their surprising song, tell me if it sounds familiar to you ;). There are also beautiful songs with Fferyllt and Gravesmond.

We hope you enjoy this compilation and take note of these good bands we selected for you doing the dirt job.

Oh, and remember it is today 3 years ago when we disembarked and started to fulfill the web with the metal we like the most. 1133 Albums uploaded so far, and remember we are only two friends doing all the job, and previous a upload we listen and evaluate the quality of the album. We do not do free or easy post like other blogs, we investigate and discover quality bands for you. And of course we do unique compilations cause we dont just put the most popular bands of a style any song at any order like other blogs. We made compilations for experts but also for ppl only willing to discover bands.

For doing a compilation first of all we see the uploads of a certain period, listen all the albums again and choose the best ones, then a carefully listening of every album to pick the best song for us. After that discards. Then study the best order of the songs and finally the cover.

Solefald is a metal band from Norway that was formed by members Lars Are “Lazare” Nedland and Cornelius Jakhelln in August 1995, with Lars singing and playing keyboard/synthesizer/piano and drums, and Cornelius singing and playing guitar and bass. The meaning of the band’s name is best explained in an interview from Century Media Records website. Lazare states “Solefald is an old norse word for sunset. We “stole” it from a painting by the Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen. His two paintings “Soleglad” and “Solefald” portrays the cycle of being, and we found it to be a very fitting idea for our band.

This band is one of the best known in Spain and even more in South America and they are from our region of the good wine, La Rioja xD but i dont like them at all, their earlier albums were better.

Tierra Santa is a spanish-singing Heavy-Metal-band from La Rioja (Spain). The Band was formed in 1997 by Ángel, Arturo, Roberto, Iñaki and Tomy. With much effort they first were autoproduced. Later they started their break-through (mainly in spanish-speaking countries), when they went on tour with Avalanch and Mägo de Oz. In 2004 they toured through the United States for the first time.

Yes, this is their best album!! (IMO)
Running Wild was one band from a wave of German Heavy metal bands to emerge in the early/mid 1980s (along with Helloween, Rage, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, etc). The music they play is compilation of heavy, power and speed metal. The band has carved its niche in the metal world as the first “pirate metal” band, a theme which took off with the release of Under Jolly Roger in 1987. The band played their farewell show at the Wacken Open Air 2009, for which setlist fans voted for.

Deathspell Omega is a Black Metal band from Poitiers, Poitou-Charentes, France that formed in 1998. Their lyrical content deals primarily with Satanism on a metaphysical level. They have recently completed a series of three concept albums, focusing on the theological dispute on the divine essence of the Devil, the roles and virtues of faith and the place of man therein. They are commonly regarded as more sophisticated lyrically and ideologically than most Satanic black metal bands. Some of their lyrical inspiration has come from the post-surrealist Georges Bataille.

Enslaved is a metal band from Bergen, Norway. Their style has changed over the years. Originally being an old-school black metal/viking metal act, they now perform a more experimental and progressive form of black metal. The name was inspired by an Immortal demo track, Enslaved in Rot.

Enslaved was formed in 1991, by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson. Joined by drummer Trym Torsson, they did their first demo in the summer of 1992

Recorded at three different studios in Bergen, Norway: Duper Studio, Earshot
Studio and Peersonal Sound Studio.

NETHERBIRD sprung into existence during November 2004 in Stockholm, Sweden as Nephente (vocals), Bizmark (guitars, keyboard) and Grim (guitars) found they were sharing a vision on how to write and record metal music without the limitations of a set line up or metal. The clear intent to create music without to much concern of genres or instrumentation has resulted in the band having a rather broad range of obvious influences spanning from black metal to to doom and heavy metal. The roots and deeper influences can always be found in the Scandinavian metal legacy.

HAIL OF BULLETS were formed at the end of 2006 when guitarist Stephan Gebédi approached singer Martin van Drunen, drummer Ed Warby, bass player Theo van Eekelen and guitarist Paul Baayens with the idea to join forces in an old school death metal band. The band members already knew each other from their previous and present bands like Asphyx, Gorefest, Thanatos and Houwitser.
