It all started in Norrtälje, Sweden, 1995. Three old friends began to talk about starting a band. They had all played or growled in different constellations before. The main direction with this project, was to play as fast and primitive metal as possible, and the lyrics had to be in Swedish. No question about that. To get the massive and raw sound they wanted, they only had to find a second guitarist and of course a drummer.
This is their seventh album.

Immortal is a prominent black metal band from Bergen, Norway. The group began in 1989 as "Amputation", a death metal band. Immortal’s early full-length releases were of a traditional, yet complex black metal style, but their acclaimed album "At the Heart of the Winter" saw the band begin to experiment with a fusion of black metal and German thrash. The resulting sound was a style which characterized Immortal’s later works. Immortal has been influential to many modern metal artists. Immortal’s founders; Abbath and Demonaz, have attained a legendary status in the Scandinavian heavy metal scene.

Wodensthrone was formed in Winterfylleð of 2005, in the Sundered Lands of North Eastern England, by founding members Brunwulf, Wildeþrýð, Gerádwine, and Hréowsian. In these formative days, the clan’s sound was raw and primitive, but still hinted at a sense of sorrow, with lyrics focusing on the darker aspects of England’s history. However, by Eostremonað of 2006, the clan’s music had developed both technically and melodically, and so Æðelwalh was recruited on synths. It was at this point that Wodensthrone truly began to resemble their current incarnation, growing both musically and conceptually.

Reverend Bizarre was a Doom Metal band from Lohja, Finland. They played slow and Heavy Traditional Doom with dramatic vocals, following in the footsteps of bands such as Saint Vitus, Pentagram and Black Sabbath. During 1997-98 the band relocated to Turku. All the band members have lived in Lohja, and Albert is currently living there. They pay homage for their hometown by using the “Lohja Power” text in the backcovers of their releases.

Formed in Dallas, TX in 1989, the band’s name was originally Dolmen but this was soon changed to Absu, drawing thematic influence from middle-eastern and celtic mythology they recorded four albums and an EP from 1993 to 2001. After the release of Tara in 2001 the band was put on hiatus as guitarist and bassist Equitant Ifernain and Shaftiel departed, citing musical differences and disinterest in the band, respectively.

Cor Scorpii is a new band formed by Windir keyboard player Gaute Refsnes. “Cor Scorpii” means “Heart of the scorpion”. Cor Scorpii, a different designation for “Antares”, is the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius. After Ulcus and Windir joined forces, Refsnes continued making music with a somewhat different approach, resulting in plans of a project of his own.

Trail of Tears is a band from Kristiansand, Norway. The band was formed in 1994 under the name of Natt (Norwegian for “Night”), but later changed its name to Trail of Tears in 1997, to reflect changes in sound and line-up. Through most of their career the band emphasized the use of contrasting soprano vocals and death grunt vocals, but with the release of "Free Fall Into Fear" — in 2005 — the band switched this contrast mostly to tenor vocals and death growls, with rare soprano passages.
