Maya centred Black Metal band Xibalba's releases comprised the 'Luctus Maestitia' demo of 1992, a second demo set in 1994 and the full length album 'Ah Dzam Poop Ek' issued through Guttural Records that same year. 1996 saw the split EP shared with AVZHIA 'Ancient Blasphemies' released by Vision D Records.
In Mayan mythology Xibalba means ''A Place Of Fear'' and that is name of underworld ruled by Mayan spirits of disease and death.
