Slechtvalk is a Dutch Melodic Black Metal band with some folk influences. The name means "Peregrine Falcon", a bird of prey. The lyrics are mostly in English, but they have one song in Latin, one in Dutch and a cover from Antestor, in Norwegian.
The band started out as a one-man project, but it grew and now the members of the band are Shamgar, Ohtar, Nath, Grimbold, Hydrith and Meallá. Their music mostly includes primitive war themes.
