Borknagar - Quintessence
With their debut, self-titled album, the band began as a melodic Viking/Black metal outfit, but with The Olden Domain and all albums following it, an evolution of a more progressive approach to Viking-themed metal began to appear, made official by Vintersorg's acquiring of the vocal duties in his trademark manner.
This album:
It is necessary to be stopped in the incomparable work of metal that is Quintessence. to enter his melodies, it is like to enter to a labyrinth infinite, full of surprises and in where the virtuosity this in perfect armony to with the violence. The beautiful melody ace of the guitars, keyboards and voices, interlace with impudent shouts, and a crushing wall rythmn, that lead us to a nordic world , pagan and simultaneously futurist. At this point speaking about Borknagar, is like speak to of forefront.Recommended.
