The band was formed back in 2001 under the name “Womb Of Maggots”. A demo and the album “Life Odium” was released under that name but after that the band changed its name to “Inactive Messiah” and the self titled album was released December 2004 by Black Lotus Records. A year later after some various line up changes Inactive Messiah entered the studio again for their third studio album (2nd under “Inactive Messiah” name). Sound similar to Hollenthon.

In 1993/94 Mysteriis and Devothan formed Setherial. The band began as a four-piece: Devothan (bass), Mysteriis (guitar), Cheeroth (vocals) and Zathanel (drums). As their sound and direction evolved, Devothan took over the role of second guitarist, while Thorn (Egregori) accepted the bass responsibilities. Following Thorn’s lead, Kraath (Egregori) found his way to Setherial as lead vocalist. Cheeroth departed and the band signed to Napalm Records. They recorded their debut “Nord” in Abyss studio.

Known as one of the most technical death metal bands ever, Gorguts was formed in 1989 by Luc Lemay (guitar/vocals), Sylvain Marcoux (guitar), Eric Giguere (bass) and Stephane Provencher (drums). They recorded a demo in 1990 entitled “And Then Comes Lividity”, and then in 1991 released “Considered Dead” on Roadrunner, their first full length of death metal. The release was very promising, and even included a guest guitar solo by James Murphy and guest vocals by Chris Barnes. Two years later in 1993, they released their second full length entitled “The Erosion of Sanity”.

Comentario: Puede que solo por el hecho de no ser una banda de Death Metal al uso o sencillamente por ser el disco mas alienígena que ha parido el Metal Extremo muchos de vosotros odieis este disco porque sentis que es algo que no podeis comprender; pero no os asusteis, este disco no se puede comprender. La guitarra suena como le da la gana, la batería no es menos... considerado por los fans del Metal como una de las mayores obras de arte creadas en el Death. Un disco que disfrutarás sin llegar a saber si realmente te gusta...

A fundamental question came up for DISILLUSION only a few months after the release of BACK TO TIMES OF SPLENDOR: What does this band want? Where does it want to go?
At the end of day, all participants knew that the final chords on BTTOS set the seal on the inevitable: All has been said; it has been done. You could improve the sound, write even better riffs, you could sing even more pompously of pain and suffering and pathos; but nothing substantial could be added to the record.

Sylvus took root as a solo-project under the name of O'Faolain, originally conceptualized by Darcy in London, Ontario in 2005. After moving to Toronto, he assembled a full band in order to facilitate live performances; after minor re-shuffling and a name change, the current line-up was cemented in February of 2008.

The first physical copies of the demo were available on August 28th, opening for Finntroll.
The new logo was designed by Sheridan Doose.

Scheduled Releases:
2009 - A currently unnamed full-length release.
2008 - An EP, slated for release in the winter, is currently being recorded.

Screamin Daemon first appeared in late 2004, when IBD Records released its debut album, 'The Decline Of The English Murder'. At the time the band consisted of only the founding member, the Reverend Matthew Trudgill. Soon after the release the band secured a line up with Nate Gould on drums, Chris Hurrell on bass and Louis Coates on lead guitar. The following year was a busy one that saw Screamin Daemon tour with Macabre, Pungent Stench, Blood Duster and Vomitory as well as performing at the London Deathfest VI, Occultfest (Holland), Obscene Extreme (Czech) and various other select shows throught the UK and Europe. All the hard work resulted in rave reviews from both fans and the media alike.

ARCHEON was formed around spring and summer of 2001 in Poland. Michal Kostrzynski (lead guitarist) and Michal Tomaszewski (Rhythmic guitarist) who previously were in a black-metal band, invited Janek Lesniak, the keyboard player. A long time passed till they found a drummer. Finally Tomek Grochowski joined the band. Missing parts of the band were a singer and the bass player. After a months of searching another member was found - Andrzej Sadrakula, the bass player.

The group was formed in 2003 in Russia. In 2004 it has been written down a demo ("I’m the One", "Clouds", "Рати две на бой сходились"). There were changes in structure of group. As a result in 2006 the final structure was generated: Olga (a vocal and a violin), Anton (a vocal and a guitar), Damir (guitar), Dmitry (bass) and Alexander (drums). The group actively takes part in concert activity. Participates in festivals "Metal Heads Mission-7" (Ukraine, Crimea), "JF-7" (Ufa), "Metal Force-4" (Magnitogorsk), etc. and also on a warming up at such eminent groups as Rossamahaar and Аlkonost. Melodic Black Metal band Natan was founded when Ezra, Jonatan,Dries and Kevin wanted to make atmospherical extreme metal. They first played together in the summer of 2001.
In the winter of 2001/2002 Pip replaced Kevin and Claudia joined in and Natan was born officially. They immediately worked hard on own songs. After some concerts in Belgium and Holland, Natan recorded Demo CD Akeldama in july 2002. Akeldama exists of 8 tracks, 30 min of intensity. It was released independantly march 2003 and received very well by the fans and press.

No lo sabemos, el caso es que ya está aqui y prevalecerá por los siglos de los siglos. Amén, Jari. Hiciste uno de mis discos preferidos.

Founded by ex-Ensiferum frontman Jari Mäenpää, Wintersun is a Finnish Metal band with an array of influences ranging from Power Metal, Folk Metal, Melodic Death Metal and even Progressive Metal (although the exact genre is debatable).
Jari has spoken about the genre of Wintersun’s music, and says “Well it´s difficult to put into a certain genre, cause there’s lots of variation. But to describe it, I would say something like: Extreme Majestic Technical Epic Melodic Metal.” He has also stated “But its really not death metal.

Dos bandas de nuestro querido Norte de España que tantas buenas bandas aporta en los últimos tiempos a la escena del Metal Extremo español, y más concretamente a la escena Viking/Folk/Pagan Metal. Estos dos grupos practican un Metal pagano muy rápido combinado con algunas muy buenas melodías folk/célticas. Este Split Album de 2007 creo que es una obra que se debe oir, y prestar especial atención a Omendark, que si bien son menos "famosos" que CrystalMoors, su Pagan Black Metal puede llegar muy alto si se les da oportunidades.

The german Viking/Pagan Metal Band Varg was founded at the turn of the year 2004/2005 and went through a Line-Up change. For the time being they started wth vocalist and keyboad player till they finalized the current 4 Man line-up in early 2007. But even “decimated” the guys from Coburg were able to manage getting a name in the scene.

After a Germany-Netherlands tour with Nomans Land and Thrudvangar and a car crash on same, they released their album “Wolfszeit” (with Riger and Equilibrium as guest appearance) on march 30th 2007 through Heiden Klangwerke and Twilight Vertrieb.

Slartibartfass was founded at the beginning of 2005 by Thomas (keyboard) and Philipp (guitars).
In March 2006, the debut concert with the Munich pagan band “Helfahrt” took place in Ulm. It was a great success and band got a name in the metal scene of Southern Germany.
