Temnozor (in Russian, Темнозорь) is a slavic folk/pagan black metal band. The group formallly became a band in 1996 in Obninsk, Russia. According to the band's statements on its website, it was formed to express the pride its members had of being Slavic, a true homage to Mother Russia of the olden pagan times. Temnozor started out as a raw black metal band with folk influences, as can be seen most prominently on their first compilation album, "Sorcery of Fragments".
