Israel’s ORPHANED LAND is probably the only band from Israel that has managed to succeed at building up a huge following among Muslims and Arabian people. These fans communicate freely via the band’s social networking pages, some of them even proudly bearing ORPHANED LAND tattoos, even though that puts them at huge risk in their home countries! Unfortunately, the ongoing political and military struggles still prevent ORPHANED LAND from playing in the home countries of its Arabian fans and friends.

I can't tell, is this band actually religious or is their music "in character"?

they are not a religious band, although their lyrics deal with religion and conflicts between the monotheist religions, and the main purpose of the band is to unite muslims, jews, and christians under their music...
BTW the album is great, i bought the limited version, and i got a signed copy!
they are playing 2 us dates. Chicago and Austin tx. Will be at the Chicago date!

And to that anonymous poster... [rant]Yes, maybe one could say Abrahamic beliefs 'destroyed' the old beliefs. But if you now seek to destroy *their* beliefs, you are then no better than them, hmm? When is someone going to stand up and be the bigger person? Intolerance breed violence, and there is no honor in senseless killing (physical OR mental). As long as no one is trying to harm you, I say just live and let live.[/rant]
