The band Týr was formed in January 1998 by Faroe Islanders living in Copenhagen (at the time). Týr had their Faroese breakthrough in April 2001 when they participated in the bi-annual 'Prix Føroyar' contest. The live version of the song "Ormurin Langi" as performed at the contest was featured on the "Prix Føroyar 2001" compilation CD. The song became the greatest Faroese hit

Kroda was originally a studio project, but they started to make live performances with live musicians from the band Ruina since 2007. Their first two gigs were at festivals "Svarogove Kolo" (Krym, 18th August 2007) and "Kolovorot" (Kharkiv, 22nd December 2007).

Despite being associated with the NS scene, Kroda is not an NSBM band.

One-man band.
The band was formerly known as Thule (1993-1995); Høst then changed the name to Taake (the Norwegian word for "fog") in 1995 because he wanted the name to reflect the genuine Norwegian spirit of his music and lyrics. It is also a patriotic tribute to the fog that surrounds the seven mountains at his hometown Bergen. "Høst" itself means "Autumn" in Norwegian, referred to Høst's season of birth.

This album is a new start for the band but old norther died, thanks Lindroos, hope you enjoy ensiferum, no regrets. Norther is a metal band from Helsinki, Finland. The band began in early 1996 under the name of Requiem, and was assembled by guitarist Petri Lindroos and drummer Toni Hallio accompanied by two other musicians. In the beginning, the band suffered from the lack of a proper rehearsal place, but in late 1997, guitarist Alexander Kuoppala (ex-Children of Bodom) found a suitable place for them to practice at Lepakko; around this time the band decided to change their name from Requiem to Decayed. Their luck was short-lived, however, as their new rehearsal place was soon to be demolished.

Primordial is an Irish band founded in the late 1980’s. They play a unique style of metal, which can best be described as a blend of black and folk metal with strong influences from their Irish roots. Their music and lyrics deal with cultural heritage, struggle, melancholy and anger.

Primordial started out as a black metal band with some folk influences with their 1993 demo Dark Romanticism and 1995 debut album Imrama. With the 1998 album A Journey’s End, Primordial underwent a strong stylistic change and delivered an album that was more original, personal and darker than anything they had done before.
