Catamenia is a Melodic Dark Metal band founded in 1995 by original members Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu, Finland.
Catamenia released their first demo album in their first active year, simply titled Demo ‘95. Their second demo, titled Winds, released in 1996, led to a four-album contract with Massacre Records in 1997. Their debut full-length album Halls of Frozen North was recorded in 1997 with Gerhard Magin (Crematory, Mystic Circle) and was released in 1998. A year later they recorded their second album, Morning Crimson (1999) in Sweden, at Sunlight Studios with Thomas Skogsberg (Katatonia, Dismember).

melodic black metal?... lo fue hace años, "esto" no tiene nombre. Todo aquel que le gustara esta banda en sus buenos tiempos odiará este disco con toda su alma tanto como yo. Lastima de banda
Razón tienes, puse mbm por no matarme la cabeza, pero hay varios estilos en este album. Comparado con location cold esto es inferior, pero es que aquel disco era muy bueno... Estan intentando hacer un sonido original y meten nuevos elementos pero aun tienen canciones como las viejas k si son mbm... en fin mucha mezcla, pero bueno, hay cosas peores.
