The band began in late 1995, when drummer Matthias and guitarist Sathonys got together to assemble a black metal band. They put adverts at several music magazines in the hopes that they would find suitable musicians to play with them. In answer to the advertisement, they were joined by bassist Marko Thomas and keyboardist and vocalist Vlad Dracul. The last member of their initial formation was the second guitarist, Hyperion, who joined them by the end of that year. With this formation the band recorded the Carpe Noctem demo tape, which received fair reviews from the German specialized press.

They formed in 1999 by brothers Dave (drums) and Joe (guitar) Haley who had previously been involved in a band called Disseminate. That group had recorded a demo in 1998 before disbanding. Shortly afterward, the Haleys created Psycroptic with Cameron Grant on bass and vocalist Matthew Chalk, who soon after became a drummer with established local death metal act M.S.I… With assistance from the Tasmanian Council of the Arts, the band recorded The Isle of Disenchantment that was designed only as a demo but the result impressed the band enough to release it as a proper CD. Shortly after it was released the band was invited to play shows in Melbourne and in late 2001 they featured at the annual Metal for the Brain festival in Canberra for the first time, later also appearing in 2003 and 2005.

Origin is an American Technical Brutal Death Metal band from Topeka, Kansas/ They formed in 1998 by Guitarist/Vocalists Paul Ryan and Jeremy Turner. They were soon joined by Clint Appelhanz (Bass), Mark Manning (Vocals) and George Fluke (Drums).
On July 4th, 1997, Paul Ryan and Jeremy Turner, acquaintances through mutual friends, had a conversation that would change their lives. Shortly thereafter, the two guitarists/vocalists got together and started jamming with the intent to create a band embodying blistering speed, total brutality, technical proficiency, and the utmost in quality musicianship.

Beherit are a black metal band from Finland, formed in 1989. The band's name was taken from the Syriac word for Satan. Svartby is a folk metal band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

The band sings about wild magical creatures living in fictional place "Svartby" (Black Village) - witches, goblins, dwarfs - definitely unkind to human folk, but at the same time merry, nature-loving and nice living beings with a good sense of humor. The lyrics are in Swedish.

The lyrics of the debut album were heavily criticized by Swedish listeners (even the name "Kom I Min Kittel" became "cum in my cauldron" in Swedish ears, not "come into my cauldron"as the band meant).

Filsufatia is a Depressive Black Metal One Man Band hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The one and only member behind all of the band's terrifying arrangements is Benign Neglectus aka Alfilsuf aka Adnachiel.

Adnachiel is often joined by his alter egos, helping him with all the percussions and additional ambience on each and every previous Filsufatia records, which are Behemyth on lead guitar, Lusfurial on bass and Tyrant on drums thus completing Filsufatia's circle of tyranny.

Filsufatia was officially unleashed in the year 2006 and marched with new demos each and every year since. Filsufatia uses FLStudios exclusively to create it's walls of unearthly domains within each and every hymn in its releases.

On this demo, Filsufatia plays Depressive Black Metal exclusively which is a new realm, distinguished from its previous releases which was more towards Orchestral and Melodic Black Death Metal.

Carpathian Forest is a Black Metal band from Norway formed by Nattefrost and Nordavind in 1990. Formed in October 2005 by Niclas Boman and Oskari Katainen, Fimbultyr started out without a name for the band and it contained only Niclas, Oskari and Jonas Arnberg on drums. The idea was to play some sort of melodic metal. They recruited Christofer Bergqvist on bass and vocals to fill those spots. After recruiting Christofer the name Fimbultyr was taken. Ideas were flowing and the songwriting was going good for the guys but they felt something was missing, something that would later turn out to be a big part of their music, namely a keyboard player.

HELLSAW emerged in 2003 from the minds of two friends who still today form the nucleus of the band: Aries on Vocals, Bass and Guitars, and Svart on Drums. In 2003, the band’s first demo, “Sins of Might”, was released to very good reviews, and was followed up buy the release of the CD a few months later. “Spiritual Twilight” the first full length album from the band, appeared in 2005 and firmly established HELLSAW’s place in the European Underground. The band continued to build on its success over the following month by touring all over Europe, including an appearance at the famed Under The Black Sun Festival in Germany.

It should come as no surprise to those familiar with Jens Ryden’s previous solo-album “Entombed in the midnight hour” that Rydén leaving Swedish black metal band Naglfar would by no means mean the end of his musical endeavors. While Naglfar sailed on, simultaneously releasing perhaps their best album to date with “Pariah” and new vocalist Kristoffer Olivius firmly taking his place as an outstanding singer and frontman, Jens stayed out of the spotlight, biding his time and now 2 years after the split has emerged under the moniker Profundi…

The band started in 1994 as a solo project, with Vindsval playing all instruments under the name Vlad. He released two demos under this title before changing the projects name to Blut Aus Nord before the release of Ultima Thulée in 1995. The next three albums were recorded with the aid of session musicians: It is only recently that the group has had any permanent members apart from Vindsval (who also played in The Eye).

KALISIA is a french Progressive and Melodic Death Metal band formed in 1994. They released a demo in 1995 called “Skies” described as a the death metal version of Dream Theater. They played a few gigs (Emperor, Samael, My Dying Bride, Therion…) and then started working on an ambitious concept album, “Cybion” consisting of one and only song that took the band about 8 years of work to fulfill.

Havayoth is a Gothic Metal band formed in 2000, in Sweden. Their sound can be described as Gothic Metal, inspiring a relaxing but at the same time dark, majestic and grave atmosphere.
Havayoth released their first and only album, called “His Creation Reversed”, in 2000.
Their current members are Marcus Norman (Guitar and keyboards), Morgan Hansson (Bass) and Andreas Hedlund, aka Vintersorg (Vocals).

Nebelhexë is the current musical project of Andrea Haugen from Germany. The first album as Nebelhexë was released in 2004. Dark and alluring, strong and spirited, melancholic and passionate, sensual and poetic, aggressive and feminine, charming and certainly stubborn, Nebelhexë has inspired, enchanted (and puzzled!) the alternative music scene since the mid 90s.
